Still in my backyardWell, the response to the auction has been AMAZING! I've done interview after interview, answered thousands of e-mails (I am only half way through!), and I have even been offered a few writing jobs. My husband has been busy setting up this website and making all the arrangements for the documentary and trip. And Cody has been hanging around, eating up the attention (and our food), and He is Still in My Backyard! I have been so busy lately that I had actually forgotten why I started the auction to begin with! Leave it to good old Cody to remind me! Cody will only be gone for about a week on the Ultimate Hippie Vacation. After that, he can't wait to get back HERE so that he can offer another trip! (Ugh! Maybe he'll get lost on his way back!) Hopefully, the pilot will work out for him (and me), and get him out of the yard on a more permanent basis. Until then, he still seems to feel the need to get on my very last nerve. After reading a "brilliant" idea in Stunt Suggestions and consulting with the Leader Guy, he was inspired to launch himself into a "Space Portal." (Thanks alot Uncle Sal!) The Leader Guy advised Cody that a Space Portal on the side of his bus could possibly weaken the stability of blah blah blah...I don't know exactly what he said because I have learned to just block out quite a bit of his gibberish. I guess I should listen more closely next time. The sound of the racing go-kart engine outside was a bit annoying, but easy to ignore, until it was accompanied by the screaming of my kids. I rushed outside just in time to see Cody crash into our oak tree, while my kids watched completely awestruck. And of course, my dear sweet hubby was there taking pictures of the whole event. Not only did Cody cause severe damage to my son's go-kart AGAIN, but this time he also possibly damaged my kids' minds! My little boy now wants to set the ramps up for his own jump and my daughter wants to film it! Oh boy! Maybe it does run in the family! Do any of you guys want to take him off my hands until the trip? Please?
I am really worried about what they might do while I am away this week. Due to many e-mail requests, Cody has been talking about building another submarine or recovering his old one from the elves. Cody has been a bit lonely out here in the country. Maybe a little "too" lonely.  At least he is pestering the cows instead of me. Want to see what else Cody has been up to. Check out our Daily Blog.
